Faith Lutheran Church has existed in the Litchfield area for more than ten years now. As we look back at the years of blessing that the Lord has given us, we recall the main events of our congregation's history. We also look forward to the future of our congregation, as it grows in believers.

Historical Timeline of Faith Lutheran Church

• September 27, 1991, Faith Lutheran officially formed
• October 6, 1991, first worship service
• October 13, 1991, met with President Orvick
• October 27, 1991, Pastor Wilfrid Frick.s first service
• June 14, 1992, Pastor Frick installed as Faith.s first pastor
• June 23, 1992, Faith becomes a member of the ELS
• September 1992, Parsonage purchased
• Sept. 1999, New church building property purchased & consecrated
• October 15, 2000, groundbreaking service
• January 1, 2001, Pastor Wilfrid Frick retires
• March 3, 2001, Pastor Stephen Schmidt accepts call to Faith
• June 17, 2001, Pastor Schmidt installed as Faith's second pastor

Tenth Anniversary
We were blessed to celebrate our tenth anniversary under the theme of "Ten Years of Faith in Bloom Under God's Grace." We were privileged to have Pastor George Orvick preach at our anniversary service. Rev. Orvick served as the ELS President until 2002.

Presiding over the service were (Left to Right) Pastor Wilfrid Frick, who served the congregation from its inception and is now retired, Pastor Stephen Schmidt, who now serves as Faith's pastor, and Pastor George Orvick, who served as the Synod President until 2002.

We celebrated our Anniversary in our former house of worship. This is a shot of our former altar setup. Notice the banner that was made to commemorate the occasion. As you can see here, our new building is a beautiful improvement. At the time of the Anniversary, we were still in the process of building.
